What a week! Been drumming every day and running three times a week! But is has paid off. I feel good! And I now can do smells like teen spirit by Nirvana on the drums! Yes!!!
It has been super hot in Scotland recently which I am sure will change very soon, because here we only get allotted around two weeks a year of sun... though with global warming this may change!
Anyway, this week as promised I will post my second super fast mini story. I have been working on my longer one properly and it's eleven pages long... so I am planning to post that next week.
As you can see from my running make up I am exhausted, but hey, it was worth it!
So the prompt this week was "write about a parent trying to explain the facts of life to their child" . This story actually really happened. The person you will read about is me back in the day and the other is my mother. The dialogue may be slightly different from reality because of artistic license but the events all happened! That's how much of a nutter I was! (you'll see what I mean)
I thought I might as well add a picture of me as a child, just to contextualise...
This is me, my brother and my mum in the Italian alps (Sudtirol) which is one of my absolute favourite places in the world. If I could live there I would... skiing and ice skating in the winter, and climbing mountains in the summertime...
So pretty intense uh? Yeah, well that's what it can be like to grow up as a girl in this sexist world. So how did you learn about the 'birds and the bees"?
What is your story?
Share it on the comments below or leave a link to it on your blog! See you next week 🙂
